The Team

Benedikt Trinn is a 28Digital student on the human-computer and design programme and thus has experience in design, accessibility, and interaction technology. With this role, his primary focus is on the design of the front end as well as the ideation, design, and implementation of connection features. With a bachelor's in computer science, he has the technical foundation to carry a feature from initial concept all the way through to a working implementation.

Benedikt is a heavy social media user who loves sharing lots of posts and stories from his day-to-day life. However, Instagram stopped feeling like the place for that. He'd open the app with the intention of checking out what his friends were up to and instead end up on reels 2 minutes later. This dissatisfaction is what pushed him to write his master's thesis on connection in the digital space, developing and testing novel features grounded in research. He knows this problem from the inside, academically and personally.

Thomas Dessolier is also a 28Digital student but is on the Fintech programme. Thus, he has experience with accounting and cybersecurity. His primary focus is on the back-end design of the app, as well as building the framework for front-end designs that Benedikt then iterates on.

Thomas hardly uses social media platforms to share his life. He feels uncomfortable sharing things about his private life with a following that he wouldn't call his inner circle. He values connection, but not having to present your best self to hundreds of followers. His desire is for a smaller, more honest feed.
